Waratahs At The Track Champs

2021 NSW MASTERS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Waratahs were well represented at the NSW Masters Track Championships held at Dunc Gray Velodrome over the weekend of 26th – 28th February.  We shared a small area in the arena and were joined by former Waratah Hugh Gray and ‘manager’ Rod Wagner.  We all had a great time, having a laugh, making new friends and catching up with other competitors from around the state, in between the seriousness of racing and gaining medals.

The results for the Waratahs, in their age categories, were:

  • Terry Freshwater MMAS8 – Silver medal in the Individual Pursuit, 4th in the Scratch Race
  • Jim Gray MMAS8 – Gold in the Sprint, Silver in the Scratch Race, Bronze in the Individual Time Trial, Bronze in the Points Race
  • Mark Skribins MMAS7 – Silver in the Points Race, 4th in the Scratch Race
  • Ian Thomas MMAS7 – Bronze in Individual Time Trial, 5th in the Points Race
  • Tom Richardson MMAS6 – 4th in the Scratch Race
  • Harry Rourke MMAS9 – Gold in the Scratch Race, Gold in the Points Race, Silver in the Individual Time Trial, Silver in the Individual Pursuit, Silver in the Sprint.

Results were taken from the Cycling NSW website and we trust that they are all correct.
Congratulations to all the competitors and all at Cycling NSW for running a very successful Championship.
