We are racing at Lansdowne today. The sky is clear after the poor weather in…
We will be holding our 2019 Time Trial Championships on Sunday 2 June at Calga. As in past years, the event will be run for us by ATTA on their 25 km course.
As they run a TT at Calga on the first Sunday of every month there will also be other riders there on the day.
This year ATTA have agreed to reserve the time period between 8.30 am and 9.00 am exclusively for Waratahs. That means up to 30 Waratahs can chase each other up and down hills with the resultant bragging rights.
If you would like to join us on the day and ride in this time slot then you can do one of two things.
Either, reserve your spot through ATTA’s pre-race entry system, Buncheur. www.buncheur.com . Spots are disappearing fast so don’t delay.
Or, you can simply turn up on the day and identify yourself as a Waratah and if there are any spots left you will be given a start time in the reserved period. If there aren’t any spots left then you will be allocated a time to ride later in the morning with other riders.
The club pays all entries for this event, though there is a $1 fee to book through Buncheur.
I hope you can join us for the ‘race of truth’. Medals will be awarded, at our Christmas dinner, for placegetters in each age group. Due to the small number of female entrants there will be medals for place getters in the over and under 45 year age groups. There will also be an overall club TT champion based on age adjusted time.
Why not put the date in your diary and try something a bit different, it’s a lot of fun.
